Last year 90% of our sales came through our tasting room. Because of restrictions related to the Covid-19 crisis, are tasting room has been closed to the public since mid March – and will remain closed till at least the first week of May. While it’s hard (even impossible) for anyone to come to Walla Walla right now, we can still bring Walla Walla to you!

We truly wish we could see your faces and pour you a glass of something delicious – but until then, please take advantage of our kick-ass shipping deals! It’s not a perfect situation by any means, but if you can’t come here at least we can come to you. It’s such a stressful time for everyone, hopefully sharing a little bit of normal will bring you some joy and calm your soul. Cheers, be healthy and take care of yourselves out there!!

More about Lagana Cellars

Lagana Cellars, a small boutique winery in Walla Walla, was brought about by the long friendship between Jason Fox, a scientist, and Todd Bernave, an artist. Our intensely collaborative approach to winemaking balances our intuitive creativity with the scientific boundaries of the grapes – where different yeast combinations, levels of stem inclusion, and fermentation management are based on strengths and weaknesses of the varietal. Having two owners and two winemakers can be tricky, but our open and collaborative style allows us to push and pull one another to elevate our wines. At the end of the day we’re looking to produce terroir-driven wines that are elegant and unique. We’re small, we’re passionate, and we’d love to fill your glass with something delicious!

Not always focused on wine, Jason and Todd come from backgrounds rooted in the fields of arts and sciences. Jason studied anthropology and astrophysics at Indiana University Bloomington before graduating from Walla Walla Community College’s Enology and Viticulture program. Todd majored in drawing and photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where he earned his BFA. Todd’s path toward wine began in 1997 when his father, Rich Bernave, was hired by Walla Walla Vintners as one of their first employees. Jason’s passion for wine was cultivated through his culinary experiences and love of food.Together, Jason and Todd formed a partnership anchored by four basic tenets: food, family, friends, and wine.
