To our fellow wine lovers,

What an ever-changing, uncertain world we live in at the moment. It’s different from yesterday and we’re sure that as you read this it will be different from the moments we put these thoughts down. Through everything, we are trying to hold dear the things we can still count on, bud break and our 2020 growing season is in full swing, we’re still bottling and looking after our wine in tanks and barrels, but, the coronavirus put a halt on all other normal day to day operations and we’re not sure when we’re going to have a direct to consumer outlet to get our wine to the world again.

Our tasting room has closed, our wonderful hosts, housekeeping staff, landscapers, shipping team, and all additional support staff have little to no work at the moment. And as we try to do the best we can to support our valued team members we’re put in a tough situation that has us making choices to ensure those people still have jobs to come back to.

We know we’re not the only ones. Our friends in the restaurant industry, servers, sommeliers, hosts, chefs, dishwashers, and bartenders have been hit just as hard if not harder. The hotels and all other tourism has completely shut down. People who work in arts and entertainment are out of the job for the foreseeable future. Us family owned businesses are trying to do what we can to get customers in the virtual door.

We know everyone is dealing with the uncertainty that looms over this ongoing situation and we’ve been getting inquiries of people asking how they can help, here’s our answer: It’s not just about us, if you’d like to help, please support local, support family businesses, order from restaurants that are offering curbside pick-up, buy wines that you believe in and love, buy from small breweries, or specialty food stores, support farmers, send virtual tips to musicians who are streaming their music, if you are shopping at grocery look for products that you have a connection with, buy gift cards to use at a later date. We rely so heavily on all of these different outlets and all of them in turn also support an entire network of staff that we don’t see on the surface.

Our community is about bringing people together and we will look forward to the time when we can all get together over a glass of wine, see live music, eat out at our favorite restaurants, hang out at our favorite breweries, but in the meantime we need to make sure those businesses and people that we love are standing when we bounce back from all of this.

Thank you to everyone in this amazing community. Your support means the world to us.

Cheers to you!

More about Jacuzzi Family Vineyards

Opening Jacuzzi Family Vineyards was a lifelong dream for Fred Cline. It was his way of not only honoring his Italian heritage but also a way for him to pay homage to his beloved grandfather, Valeriano Jacuzzi. It was Valeriano’s farm in Oakley, CA where as a young man in the early 1970’s, Fred learned how to farm grapes and make wine. His passion grew and eventually propelled him to UC Davis where he graduated with a degree in Viticulture. After finding success with Cline Cellars, Fred knew that he wanted to start a project that paid tribute to his roots and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards opened its doors in 2007.

Fred wanted to create a space that embraced the Italian traditions and atmosphere he experienced while growing up on the farm– an atmosphere where anyone who walked through the door was treated like family. A place where the pace of life slowed down, and good food, great wine, and good company were celebrated. That’s exactly what you can expect when making a trip to Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, a warm and inviting experience that takes allows you to a step back in time. Every detail of the winery calls on Italian influence – from the building, which was made as replica of the old Jacuzzi home is Casarsa, Italy, to the wine they produce. Jacuzzi Family Vineyards seeks out and supports small farmers who are preserving unique, lesser known Italian varietals throughout California including grapes like Teroldego, Nero D’Avola, Sagrantino, and Arneis among others. The estate vineyards lie primarily in the Los Carneros and Sonoma Coast wine regions and are planted to more traditional Italian varieties like Sangiovese, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. No need for a passport to be transported to this Italian experience, just a short drive to Sonoma will provide all the charm, scenery and magnificent wines reminiscent of Italy

A visit to Jacuzzi Family Vineyards wouldn’t be complete without stopping by The Olive Press tasting room and gift shop, located within the walls of the winery. Learn about their dedication to quality and flavor that guides every step from orchard to bottle.
