I’m Rachel – absolutely a wine and data nerd. I live in San Francisco, but have traveled to Willamette and Walla Walla a couple times and LOVE a good Syrah or cool climate Pinot Noir. Many of my recs are from wineries I’ve met and just love the people running them. And it helps that they produce darn good wine! Thanks for helping #SupportOurWineries!
Here are my top few recommendations, but if you want a personal rec – please DM me on Instagram! More than happy to help 🙂
- thumbprint Winery: small family-run production with incredibly fun wines (want a bottle of Three-Some anyone?). They specialize in Bordeaux-style blends and are doing 10% off plus $1 shipping.
- Moshin Vineyards: I help out in the home winemaking scene a bit, and I met Rick (owner/winemaker of Moshin) through personal relationships. His single vineyard Pinot Noir is AMAZING and they are huge supporters of the wine community.
- Maker Wine: I admire Kendra and Sarah for all they are doing to bring high quality canned wine to consumers. They “can” high quality wine from small producers and care about sustainability and accessibility of wine in general. I love their Chenin Blanc, and they have a cute care package they’re offering right now.
- Wine by Joe: This is a newer discovery for me. Owned by Dobbes Family Estate, they have some of the best value Oregon Pinot Noir I’ve seen. It’s delicious, and affordable at $19 per bottle (plus 10% off right now).
